Summer of Fun Singing Workshops

6th & 13th August Ladywell Green School, Newtown
20th August Mid Wales Arts, Caersws
10-11am, 0-4 yrs sing! Fun singing for little ones, followed by tea and chat for parents/carers. Make friends and relax.
11-12pm Families of all ages and sizes welcome to come and sing together, in playful creative workshops to make you smile. No singing ability or experience necessary. Little ones can play while families sing.
1-3pm 6-13 yrs sing! Creative, playful sessions, develop your voice and have a great time, no experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm!

Singing & Rhythm

Develop fluency across all areas of music: pitch, pulse, rhythm, improvising, composing, coordination, theory, analysis, reading, expressive elements, playing by ear, two-part listening and more. We will be working through the modes to major and minor tonality, so you will also get a flavour of musical history and development.

Hafren Community Choir

Excellent non-audition choir of ‘non-singers’ with inspiring repertoire in harmony, for beginners to experienced. Have a great time and develop your voice in a warm, supportive atmosphere.

7-9pm, Mondays in term time, due to start back in September COVID allowing, hopefully back in residence at Theatr Hafren from October.  Contact for joining details.

Baby & Toddler Music

This is the first step in the excellent Da Capo programme: learn to read music through movement and song. Imaginative, expert teaching that your child will love, followed by tea, chat and homemade cake. Due to Coronavirus this is cancelled until further notice. Usually runs on Wednesdays, 9.30am, Theatr Hafren. Contact for more information.

Singing for Lung Health

Relaxation, breathing and singing exercises to help people with a lung condition to develop a greater awareness of their respiratory muscle use and progressively develop their primary breathing muscles. No singing experience or ability required. Laughter and chat firmly on the menu. Due to Coronavirus this class is cancelled until further notice.
